About RTR

Restore the Roar is the proud booster club for C.K. McClatchy High School athletics. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of volunteer parents, alumni, and coaches dedicated to supporting CKM teams and student-athletes.

How we support the teams:

• Provide administrative services and ensure sound business and accounting practices for all of the teams consistent with IRS guidelines for a nonprofit organization.

• Raise money for CKM’s athletic programs, working closely with CKM Athletic Director, to fill gaps in funding not provided by the Sacramento Unified School District.

• Recognize the accomplishments of teams and student-athletes through our social media channels, website, and local media outlets.

• Assist with financial and volunteer support of the teams to ensure inclusive, quality athletic programs for McClatchy student-athletes.

Restore the Roar was founded in 2007 by a group of dedicated alumni, with the initial goal of  funding new megaphones for the CKM Cheer Squad.

Events

Restore the Roar hosts the ever-popular Lion Fest, a party and fundraiser supporting and celebrating all things CKM athletics. 

We also organize the Hall of Fame dinner, which recognizes past CKM athletic stars.
